From the
Desk of:
BISHOP F.J.
GOODMAN

It
is indeed a
pleasure to
tender holy
greetings
to you in
the
wonderful
name of our
Lord and
Savior,
Jesus Christ
as we
prepare this
year to
“Celebrate A
Glorious
Past As We
Embrace A
Promising
Future.”
We should
remember
that we are
living
epistles
read among
men, and we
should use
every
occasion to
share the
testimonies
of our past
with all
that we
encounter.
It is said
that only
having
experienced
the past can
one have
confidence
in the
future.
This
confidence
is based
upon trust
in His
word. It
is God who
has blessed
us and
brought us
through a
glorious
past and it
is He who
will help us
embrace a
promising
future.
As
believers,
we have so
many
wonderful
promises
from our
father. Let
us await the
fulfillment
of those
promises as
we reflect
on our past
victories
and God
gives us the
courage to
face both
the
challenges
of today and
the
uncertainties
of tomorrow
with hope
and faith
knowing that
God, through
His, states
in
Philippians
1:6 that,
“Being
confident of
this very
thing, that
he which
hath begun a
good work in
you will
perform it
until the
day of Jesus
Christ.”
Let us
remember to
designate a
time to
daily
prayer. It
is prayer
that has
sustained
and brought
many of us
through;
become
involved
with one of
the many
ministries
of this
church. The
ministries
of the
church are
its’
lifeline;
come out to
one of the
weekly bible
studies and
prayer
services.
The Bible
says to
“Study to
show thyself
approved
unto God
rightly
dividing the
Word;
attend
Sunday
School; and
let us
return to
weekly
fasting each
Tuesday and
Friday.
These are
but a few
ways given
to the
Church of
God In
Christ
through the
teachings of
our
forefathers.
Please
remember
that
everywhere
you go, you
are
representing
our Lord and
Savior,
Jesus Christ
and the
Church of
God In
Christ. Ask
yourself
this, would
you have
wanted Jesus
to come back
and found
you in some
of the
places that
you went to
last year?
Because the
Lord has
allowed this
generation
to see the
fulfillment
of those
promises
that were
envisioned
by our
predecessors,
the eyes of
the secular
and
religious
world are
currently
focused on
those who
claim to be
children of
God.
May “the
blessing of
the Lord be
upon you:
we bless you
in the name
of the
Lord.”..….Psalms
129:8.
YOUR
SERVANT IN
CHRIST,
BISHOP
F.J. GOODMAN
